Rainfall, hailstorm likely in next few days over different parts of India

The Indian Meterological Department has predicted light to moderate rainfall, along with isolated thunderstorms, lightning, over the Gangetic West Bengal on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Hailstorms and squalls with wind speeds of upto 50-60 kmph is also expected on Monday, March 19.

Odisha, Jharkhand, Chattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh are expected to receive scattered to widespread moderate rainfall with thunderstorms, and lightning on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
Vidarbha, Madhya Pradesh & Chhattisgarh are also expected to face isolated hailstorm on Monday. Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh and Odisha may receive heavy rainfall on Monday and Tuesday.

Arunachal Pradesh, Assam & Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura are likely to receive moderate rains along with thunderstorms this week. Telangana also faces the threat of hailstorm and moderate rainfall in the next few days.

Due to a fresh Western Disturbance in the Western Himalayan Region from Monday, scattered light rainfall/snowfall is very likely over Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand on Monday, and on Thursday or Friday.
