The office of district magistrate in Gurugram had to issue an advisory late Thursday suggesting that public and private instituitions should encourage work from home on Friday. The advisory came after heavy rains poured in the city and the NCR. Schools and colleges also remained shut down for the day.
By afternoon, certain areas including NH 48 and Hero Honda Chowk had been cleared.
