At least 848000 people have died due to coronavirus across the globe and of these, India has seen 65288 deaths with around 950 deaths in past 24 hours alone. India has registered 3.69 million cases till date and 7,85,996 are active currently. World over, the total number of cases has reached. Over the past one week, India’s cases have contributed to 255 of the total fresh covid 19 cases in the entire world.
India reported 78512 cases in past 24 hours alone. As the country enters the fourth phase of “unlock” – reopening of the pandemic induced lockdown that began in March- the recovery rate improved to 76.94%.
Delhi has reported 173000 cases while 4426 people have died due to covid in the national capital. Gurugram has registered 11931 cases till date and 113 were reported in past 24 hours alone. The city has seen 133 covid 19 deaths.
Meanwhile, Union health and family welfare minister Dr Harsh Vardhan has said in an address to the media that vaccines may be available in India by year end.
Unlock 4 begins Tuesday, September 1 and the central government has allowed metro services and open air theatres to begin operating in non-containment zones. While metro will begin in a phased manner starting September 7. Open air theatres can operate from September 21.
