Rahul Yadav Fazilpuria, most recently in news over a controversy involving YouTuber Elvis Yadav, has now turned politician. Fazlipuria will contest general assembly polls from Gurgaon constituency and has been fielded by Jannayak Janta Party that recently split from the ruling Bharatiya Janta Party in the state. He will face a tough competition from five-time MP Rao Inderjit Singh of the BJP.
Who is Fazilpuria
Fazilpuria was born to a business family in 1990 and completed his BTech from a private institute in Gurgaon. He first rose to fame in 2014 when his rap song Ladki Kar Gayi Chull topped the charts and soon featured in Karan Johar’s Kapoor and Sons featuring Alia Bhatt, Sidharth Malhotra and Fawad Khan. He has been a vocal advocate of Haryanvi folk music in Bollywood since then and has collaborated on several hits including High Rated Gabru.
Fazilpuria and controversy
Youtuber and Bigg Boss OTT winner Elvish Yadav recently accused Fazilpuria of providing with the snakes involved in an alleged snake venom rave party and video shoot. Fazilpuria denied the allegations but was later named in a case registered by Gurgaon Police, upon reciving directions from a Gurgaon court. The directions came after animal rights activist Saurabh Gupta approached the court with Yadav’s video.
JJP announces five candidates in first list
JJP announced its list of five candidates for the upcoming polls in Haryana. Former MLA from Bhiwani-Mahendragarh Ramesh Khatak will fight the polls from Sirsa while Naina Singh Chautala will be the JJP candidate in Hisar. Chautala is the sitting MLA from Hisar and former deputy chief minister Dushyant Chautala’s mother as well as JJP chief Ajay Singh Chautala’s wife. JJP also announced Nalin Hooda, their district youth president as their candidate from Faridabad.
Polls in Haryana
All the ten constituencies in the state will go to polls on May 25.
