Trinamool Congress COngress (TMC) chief and West bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee has compared BJP supporters with those of former US president Donald Trump, claiming they’d behave the same if they face electoral defeat.
Spekaing at a rally in Nadia, Ms Banerjee said, “The day the BJP loses elections, it’s cadre and supporters will behave like that.”
She also responded to the leaders and said, “You must have seen some (TMC) leaders switch over to the BJP. They have done it to protect the public money they had looted. The BJP runs the party like a washing machine, where corrupt leaders turn into saints the moment they join them.”
Thousands of Trump supporters stormed the US Capitol recently, vandalising the building in an unprecedented event of violence. The attack left five dead, including a police personnel.
