JeM commander Zahid Wani was one of the five terrorists killed in two different encounters with the Indian army in Budgam and Pulwama. Kashmir’s inspector general of police Vijay Kumar informed reporters about the overnight encounters.
Kashmir IGP told media, “Five terrorists of Pakistan sponsored proscribed terror outfits LeT & JeM were killed in dual encounters in last 12 hours. JeM commander terrorist Zahid Wani and a Pakistani terrorist were also identified among those killed. It is a big success for us.”
