Bihar state government has removed Gaya SSP Aditya Kumar and Magadh Range IG Amit Lodha from their posts on alleged charges of corruption. Former Gaya DM Abhishek Singh has also been removed from the post of MD at Bihar Urban Infrastructure Development Corporation.
Harpreet Kaur is the new SSP of Gaya. Vinay Kumar is the new IG of Magadh range. A 2009 batch IPS officer, Kaur is also known as the Lady Singham.
Singh was the Gaya DM before Dr. Thiyagarajan S.M took charge last year. Kumar and Lodha have been shunted to police headquarters in Gaya while Singh’s fate is yet to be announced.
The action was reportedly taken with regard to a sand mining case in the district. Reports also claim that four other senior cops will also face disciplinary action.
