After days of speculations and rumours in the political corridors, Hardik Patel submitted his resignation to Congress president Sonia Gandhi and shared it on Twitter.
Hardik tweeted, “Gathering much courage, I resign from my post, and primary membership of the Congress paerty. I believe my friends and the public of Gujarat will support me in this decision. I believe I will be able to work positively towards the future of Gujarat after this step.”
Sharing the letter, Patel also wrote in an indirect dig at Rahul Gandhi, “Whenever our country faced challenges and when the Congress needed leadership, Congress leaders were enjoying abroad.”
Amid speculations that he may join the BJP, Hardik said on Thursday. The 28-year-old politician told news agency ANI that he is not in BJP yet is yet to take a decision.
