Gangster Gogi, 2 others killed in Rohini court shootout in Delhi

In a shocking case of law and order going haywire, three gunmen fired inside the Rohini court in the national capital on Friday and were later killed in police firing. The attackers were dressed as lawyers and managed to kill Delhi’s most wanted gangster, Jitendra Gogi.

Reports suggest that at least 25-30 rounds of bullets were fired. One woman lawyer was also injured in the shootout. An India Today report quoted Delhi Police Commissioner Rakesh Asthana as saying, “The gangsters have been shot. Two came in lawyer’s uniform. Police have neutralised them in counter move. Three causalities have been reported.” However, he denied that it was a gangwar. Delhi Police’s Special Cell killed the two attackers who are believed to be from the Tillu Tajpuria gang.

The attackers targeted Gogi who was arrested last year. He was a history-sheeter who fled police custody within three months of being arrested in 2016. He has been involved in murders, attempts to murder, land grabbing, possession of illegal arms, extortion, carjacking, etc.
