Dilip Ghosh slams Babul Surpiyo for ‘forced to resign’ post

After Babul Supriyo claimed he was asked to resign from the post of cabinet ministe, West Bengal BJP president Dilip Ghosh slammed him

In his post, Babul Supriyo had said that he was “asked to resign” from his post as the Union minister of state of environment, forest and climate change ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s much-anticipated reshuffle of his council of ministers.

“Yes, when there is smoke there must be a fire somewhere Not being able to take phone calls of my friends in the media who care for me hence let me spell it out myself.. Yes, I have resigned from the Council Of Ministers (As I had framed it earlier, “Asked to resign” may not be the right way to put it ) I thank Honble Prime Minister for giving me the privilege to serve my country as a Member of his Council of Ministers.. I am extremely happy that I go today without a spot of corruption on me, having served my constituency with all my might & having enjoyed their cindiendence when Asansol voted me back as their MP once again, with triple the Margin in 2019 again  My bestest of wishes to my colleagues, whose names I can’t spell out but by now everyone is aware, will be sworn in as Hon’ble Ministers from Bengal. I am surely SAD for myself but very HAPPY for them  More power to all of them,” Babul Surpiyo wrote.

He also congratulated new ministers and wrote, ” My Heartiest Congratulations to our Fresh New Ministers from Bengal, Shri. Subhas Sarkar, Nisith Pramanik, John Barla & Shantanu Thakur.
All of them have got great portfolios. Wish them a very Successful & Happy Journey ahead… #subhassarkar Nisith Pramanik #johnbarla #ShantanuThakur.”

Dilip Ghosh said, “They asked for his (Supriyo’s) resignation so that someone else can take up the responsibility. That is how a party functions, you need to have faith in the due process. If he were to be fired instead, would that have made things any better?”
