India has reported 63,94,068 covid 19 cases and of these 86,821 were reported in past 24 hours alone. 76% of the new cases are concentrated in ten states. Maharashtra contributed more than 18,000 to the new cases.
World over, 34.2 million covid 19 cases have been reported and 1.02 million covid 19 deaths have been registered till date.
1,181 deaths have been registered in the past 24 hours. 82% of new deaths are reported from 10 States and UTs. 40% of deaths reported yesterday are from Maharashtra with 481 deaths followed by Karnataka with 87 deaths.
With total 53 lakh recoveries to date and 85,376 recoveries registered in the last 24 hours, the recovery rate for India has now reached 83.53%.
Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump have tested positive for coronavirus.
