Covid 19 updates from India
India has witnessed spike of 14,821 new COVID-19 patients along with 445 deaths in the latest 24 hours. The country has reported 9,440 recoveries in a single day which has pushed recovery rate beyond 55%. The Health Ministry on Monday reported 4,25,282 infections in total, out of which 1,74,387 cases are still active while 2,37,196 Covid 19 patients have been discharged after their recovery. With this, the death count stands at 13,699.in the country.
The Indian Government had announced Lockdown 5.0 or Unlock 1.0 starting from June 1, 2020 while easing restrictions on various movements such as opening up religious premises, multi complexes, and restaurants following strict protocols regarding cleanliness, social distancing and sanitation. According to some health officials, the government’s decision to unlock the country for the revival of economy has become a reason for tremendous surge in COVID-19 cases.
To survive with the current pandemic one must take appropriate precautions such as avoid going out unnecessarily if you feel unwell. Proper hygiene measures such as frequent hand washing must be taken. One must cover his nose and mouth with mask while maintaining a safe distance from anyone showing symptoms such as coughing or sneezing. One must call the helpline or consult doctor immediately if having fever, difficult breathing, cough, etc.
