The number of confirmed cases of coronavirus has increased to 2,589,682 till Sunday 8AM and among these, 677,444 are active cases while 1,862,258 cases have been cured. The country has witnessed 49,980 deaths due to Covid 19 till date. The global figure for coronavirus cases has crossed 21.3 million and have 767, 000 died due to the virus across the world.
Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh remained on top with maximum number of cases – 584754, 332105 and 281817 confirmed cases till Sunday morning.Here’s a look at top 10 states with respect to increasing cases of coronavirus.
West Bengal registered highest number of Covid deaths – 944. Maharashtra saw 322 deaths due to coronavirus. While Jharkhand saw four covid 19 deaths in last 24 hours, Bihar registered eight deaths due to the virus.
Meanwhile, India’s recovery rate improved to 71.91% , as per the government data.
