Covid 19 India updates: India crosses 6.25 lakh mark, recovery rate at 59.52

With 11,881 recoveries in the last 24 hours, India records recovery rate of 59.52. Due to timely clinical management, India has reported 11,881 recoveries in 24 hours taking recovery rate to 59.52% on Thursday.

While widening the gap between active cases and recoveries, 3,59,859 patients have cured and discharged as of now, which is 1,32,912 more than the number of active cases that are 2,26,947. According to official data, the country is observing over 10,000 recoveries daily.

The coordinated and consistent efforts of all the governments in managing and containing COVID-19 are commendable as the recovery rate is steadily improving.

While India’s coronavirus patients mounted to 6.25 lakh mark, 17,834 people have succumbed to deadly viruses keeping the mortality rate as low as 3%.

Chandigarh has recorded the highest recovery rate at 82.3% from COVID-19 followed by Meghalaya at 80.8% and Rajasthan, one of the largest states at 79.6%.

Furthermore, counting absolute recoveries, Maharashtra counts the maximum number of cured patients at 93,154 followed by 59,992 in Delhi and 52,926 recoveries in Tamil Nadu. Uttar Pradesh has a 69.1% recovery rate with 16,629 patients discharged so far.

According to Reuters tally, Over 10.7 million people have been infected by COVID-19 globally have 5.15 lakh people have died so far. India is the fourth-worst affected country by novel coronavirus following the U.S. with 2,686,587, Brazil with 1,448,753 and Russia with 6,60,000 infections as of now. India is to surpass Russian to become the third-worst affected country in the upcoming days.
