Patna led the districts in Bihar with 249 fresh Covid-19 cases in past 24 hours, adding up to the state total of 1320 on Tuesday alone. Chief minister Nitish Kumar imposed a 15-day long lockdown in wake of the spike in fresh cases. Bihar will remain in lockdown from July 16 to July 31.
As per the government data, Bihar has registered 20173 cases so far and 13533 patients have recovered successfully from the coronavirus infection. Patna alone has had 2501 cases in total.
Patna registered 242 cases in last 24 hours while Bhagalpur had 125 fresh Covid-19 cases. West Champaran and Siwan came close with 93 and 90 cases respectively while Khagaria had 80 new cases.
