A complete lockdown has been announced across seven districts in Assam, starting July 7, Wednesday. The move comes even as other states are opening up and relaxing lockdown restrictions across the country.
Assam state government has issued a revised directive for rural and urban areas, imposing round-the-clock curfew and commercial setups, restaurants, shops will remain shut in these districts. The restrictions have been imposed in Goalpara, Golaghat, Jorhat, Lakhimpur, Sonitpur, Biswanath and Morigaon districts.
