Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan and his actor son Abhishek Bachchan have been admitted to Nanavati Hospital, Mumbai, after they tested positive for coronavirus Saturday. Both Amitabh and Abhishek shared the news on Twitter and asked people, who came in contact with them over past 10 days, to get themselves tested for Covid-19. Abhishek’s wife Aishwarya and daughter Aaradhya have also tested positive for covid 19.
“I have tested Covid positive, shifted to hospital, hospital informing authorities, family and staff undergone tests, results awaited”, he tweeted yesterday.
Abhishek tweeted, “Earlier today both my father and I tested positive for COVID 19. Both of us having mild symptoms have been admitted to the hospital. We have informed all the required authorities and our family and staff are all being tested. I request all to stay calm and not panic. Thank you.”
Maharashtra Health minister Rajesh Tope informed Sunday that Aishwarya and Aradhya have also tested positive for COVID-19 while Jaya has tested negative. Jaya will be tested again in the day.
Taapsee Pannu, Priyanka Chopra, Akhilesh Yadav, Irfan Pathan, Parineeti Chopra and thousands of others wished for their recoveries from the novel coronavirus. Fans of the Bachchan family have been praying for their health and speedy recovery across the country. Visuals of puja and havan being conducted in Bhopal, Muzzafarpur and Ujjain have surfaced online.
Meanwhile, Anupam Kher also informed fans Sunday morning that his mother, brother, sister—in-law and niece have also tested positive for Covid 19. While his mother, Dulari, has been admitted in Kokilaben Hospital, the other family members have been quarantined at home. Anupam and his actor-politician wife Kirron Kher have tested negative for the virus.
TV actor Parth Samanthan has also tested positive for coronavirus and the shooting for his TV show, Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 has been stalled.
