Bollywood actors Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan tested positive for coronavirus, the veteran actor confirmed late Saturday on Twitter.
Sharing the news with fans, Amitabh wrote, ” I have tested CoviD positive .. shifted to Hospital .. hospital informing authorities .. family and staff undergone tests , results awaited .. All that have been in close proximity to me in the last 10 days are requested to please get themselves tested !”

Abhishek also tested positive for Covid 19 and the father son duo have been admitted to Nanavati Hospital in Mumbai. They reached the hospital Saturday evening.
Abhishek tweeted, “Earlier today both my father and I tested positive for COVID 19. Both of us having mild symptoms have been admitted to hospital. We have informed all the required authorities and our family and staff are all being tested. I request all to stay calm and not panic. Thank you.”
Amitabh has confirmed all members of his family have been tested for the virus and their reports are awaited. He was staying with Abhishek, wife Jaya Bachchan, daughter in law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and grand daughter Aaradhya.
In a recent blog post, Amitabh had shared, “When tested .. you realise .. functionings of that which had been left aside for salaried staff to do .. you realise how much they did and what went through them .. you realise contribution, effort, time and physical exposure .. and you realise the worth they were bringing to your existence . We did ours they did theirs .. life moved on .. But conditions that prevail, coerce us to take that on, which was taken on before by them … and the finding that you can not only do what they did but perhaps give suggestions on how the working could improve .. little little thoughts and ideas to smoothen the workings .. staff tend to hold back for fear of overstepping the line of action and not gaining appreciation from the employer .. but these conditions are giving time for interaction, spending and seeking their woes, giving them the confidence that all is fine .. reprimanding less .. explaining in gentle tones the correct way .. or accepting their methods of work and giving them praise .Praise never hurt anyone .. a good word put in personally for even the minutest of ‘job done’ fills them that work for you with that much needed adrenalin ..”
