India registered 78,357 fresh covid 19 cases in past 24 gours, taking the total number of Coronavirus cases to 3769523. Of these, 801282 are active cases while 66333 people have died due to Covid till date.
All over India, 29,01,908 patients have recovered, pushing the recovery rate to 76.98 per cent. Maharashtra continues to be the state worst hit by the pandemic, with 8,08,306 cases and 24,903 covid deaths. Maharashttra is followed by three southern states – Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.
Meanwhile, there have been 25.8 million covid 19 cases across the globe and 858381 people have died due to the virus till date all over the world. India is the country with the third-highest coronavirus caseload in the world after the United States and Brazil.
