At least 54849 people have died due to coronavirus in India alone while the country has registered 29,05,823 total confirmed cases till date. Of these, 21,58,946 have recovered from covid 19 across India and the figure stands at 14.5 million the world over.
In India,Maharashtra saw yet another tough day with Mumbai Police recording 303 new Covid 19 cases over last 24 hours. Total cases in the force stand at 13,180, including 2,389 active cases and 136 deaths. Maharashtra also registered the highest single-day spike of 14,492 fresh cases, and the total tally rose to 6,43,289. With new 326 deaths, the total number of Covid deaths in the state reached 21,359.
While Delhi has registered 156000 confirmed cases till date, 4235 have died due to covid in the national capital. Nearby Gurugram has reported 9302 case and 124 deaths till date.
On the positive side of the figures, India’s recovery rate soared past 74% (74.28% today), bolstered by 33 States and UTs reporting recovery rate more than 50% .
