Soon after reports claimed that he refused to submit samples for a drug test, Olympic bronze medallist Bajrang Punia has refuted them all. He also said that he was given an expired kits previously and simply wanted to know if any action was taken about that.
In his latest social media post, Punia said that he wanted an explanation from National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) officials about why the time they came to him with an expired kit for an out-of-competition test earlier during the trials in Sonipat.
In his video response, Punia said, “I want to clarify the news about me being asked to take a dope test!!! I never refused to give my sample to NADA officials, I requested them to first answer me as to what action they took on the expired kit they brought to take my sample (earlier) and then take my dope test. My lawyer Vidush Singhania will reply to this letter in time.”
