India reported a total of 2,58,089 new cases in the last 24 hours, the ministry of health and family welfare said in a statement. So far, the country has registered 8,209 Omicron cases and Maharashtra had the highest share, with 1738 cases.
While India has had 1,51,740 recoveries in the last 24 hours, taking the number of total recoveries to 3,52,37,461.
