India has registered the highest number of fresh cases any country reported ever since the pandemic outbreak, with 76826 fresh cases. The total number of covid 19 cases now stands at 3.31 million.
Of these, 725991 are active while 2.52 million patients have recovered. India has registered 60472 covid 19 deaths so far, with 1023 deaths reported in past 24 hours.
Meanwhile, the coronavirus found its way to a remote tribe in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Four members of the Greater Andamenese tribe – believed to be a population of mere 53 – have tested covid 19 positive.
