Covid 19: India registers maximum daily deaths, Delhi has highest single day spike

India reported 95,735  new covid 19 cases in the last 24 hours, of which Maharashtra has alone contributed more than 20,000 and Andhra Pradesh has contributed more than 10,000. The country’s total stands at 44,65,863 on September 10, Thursday morning. Of these, 34,71,783 have recovered while there are 9,19,018 active coronavirus cases across the nation.

As per the government data, 60% of the new cases are reported from only five states. Maharashtra is leading this tally with more than 2,40,000 whereas Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh follow with more than 96,000 each. Five States of Maharashtra, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu contribute 61% of the total active cases.

A total of 1,172 deaths have been registered in the past 24 hours. 32% of deaths reported yesterday are from Maharashtra with 380 deaths followed by Karnataka with 128 deaths, and Tamil Nadu with 78 deaths. More than 74% of the Total Active Cases are in 9 most affected States. Maharashtra, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh presently contribute 49% of total active cases. Maharashtra is leading this tally with more than 2,50,000 whereas Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh follow with more than 97,000 each.

Meanwhile, Delhi recorded 4,039 fresh covid 19 cases, which is also the highest single-day spike in city so far. The total tally crossed 2 lakh-mark while the Coronavirus death count stands at 4,638.

Gurugram alone has registered 260 new cases in past 24 hours and the total for the city now stands at 14000. A total of 12003 cases have recovered among these and 1857 remain active patients. Gurugram has seen 140 deaths so far due to coronavirus.

Haryana clocked a total of 83353 confirmed covid 19 cases and of these, 65143 have already recovered and 17328 are active patients currently. The state has registered 882 covid 19 deaths so far.
