Colder days ahead: Temperature may dip by 4-5 degrees in north India

Due to snowfall and rains in the mountainous regions, northern India has been experiencing a dip in mercury.

According to the Indian Meteorological department, isolated to scattered light rainfall and/or snowfall is very likely over Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand on Tuesday. Dry weather is expected for three the next three days.

Cold wave conditions are likely to affect Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh for the next four days – from Tuesday till Saturday. It will also affect Gujarat Region during next 4 days over Rajasthan during next 5 days; West UP during 27th–29th; over north Madhya Maharashtra on 26th and 27th and over East UP on 28th & 29th on Jan, 2022.
