Bihar elections: LJP to fight alone, Chirag Paswan wants to enjoy the moment as Tejaswi Yadav leads RJD-Congress alliance

After days of speculations around the seat-sharing, Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) announced that it will fight the Bihar assembly elections alone, and not with NDA. However, the party made it clear that the party continues to be with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) but did not want to contest elections with chief minister and Janata Dal (United) chief Nitish Kumar.

Party president and son of Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan, Chirag Paswan told reporters, “Let me enjoy the moment. I will not speak more but we will win the battle.”

Meanwhile, the Mahagathbandan had decided on seat sharing a day earlier. Former chief minister and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav’s son Tejashwi Yadav will lead the alliance. For the seat-sharing, Congress has decided to contest on 70 while RJD will fight on 144 seats.
