Starting January 1, 2022, your digital payments will change because of an RBI order meant to ensure the better safety of your card details. All debit and credit card details will be removed from payment gateways and merchants.
Starting next year, customers will have to enter details of their cards to make payments on the websites. Intimations are being sent from the banks, informing consumers about the change.
While making your first payment to any merchant online, you need to give consent with an additional factor of authentication, starting January.The payment will then be completed with the help of your CVV and OTP.
