Priyanka Gandhi is yet to decide on whether she will contest elections in the upcoming assembly polls in Uttar Pradesh. However, she was quick to ask if she is visible enough when posed with the important question – is she the face of Congress in Uttar Pradesh?
She was asked about the face of the Congress in UP and she responded with, “Do you see any other face from Congress? Then? My face is visible everywhere, right?” She was also asked if she’d contest the polls. To which, she said, “When it is decided, you will get to know. We haven’t made a decision on it yet.”
She was speaking at the launch of Congress’s manifesto for the upcoming polls. In the manifesto, the party has invested heavily in the unemployed youth.
The party has promised “free bus and train travel to people traveling for the sake of competitive exams. It also promised to recruit 1 lakh police personnel, 6000 doctors and hire people on all the other government positions currently vacant.
