Curefew imposed in Bihar’s Mubarakpura after murder, internet cut of til Feb 8

The sub-divisional magistrate of Chhapra (Bihar) has imposed Section 144 in Manjhi police station region. Internet has also been cut off in the area till February 8. The developments came after a man was killed in Mubarakpur village. Five people have been arrested in the case. Chattu Yadav and Dinesh Yadav were arrested Tuesday. Seven others have been arrested in related cases.

Vijay Yadav reportedly thrashed thee men on his poultry farm last week and one of them died on the spot. The person who died was Jaiprakash Singh’s son Amitesh Kumar Singh, according to a Prabhat Khabar report. Alok Kumar Singh and Rahul Kumar Singh are injured and being treated in Patna at PMCH.

Yadav, who is absconding, has a criminal history and his brother Jatul Yadav has been arrested. However, the accused has alleged that Amitesh and the other two men came on a motorcycle and fired at him.

Saran Police said in a statement that nearby areas have been covered with heavy deployment of BSAP and STF personnel. “The accused in both cases (murder and nuisance) are absconding and their property will be attached. Cases under section 108/23 have also been filed against instigators on social media.”
