Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to address the nation on Tuesday evening. He informed the public about the surprise address Tuesday afternoon with a tweet.
PM Modi wrote in Hindi as well as English, “Will be sharing a message with my fellow citizens at 6 PM this evening.”
Many believe the address may be an announcement related to the ongoing pandemic, measures to control it and/or an update on the possibility and availability of a vaccine.
Meanwhile, India reported a total 46,790 new covid 19 cases in past 24 hours, taking the total to 75,97,063. The country also registered 587 covid 19 deaths in the past 24 hours The national Recovery Rate has further grown to 88.63%, 69,720 patientshave recovered and discharged in the last 24 hours. India currently has 7,48,538 active covis 19 cases.
Detractors of the ruling party at the centre, however, speculate that the address may be targetted at Bihar, eyeing the upcoming elections in the state.
