As the number of fresh coronavirus cases decline in the state of Maharashtra, the state government has relaxed guidelines for various businesses. Restaurants, eateries, amusement parks, theaters and auditoriums will be allowed to open from October 22, Friday. Starting Tuesday, restaurants and eateriescan remain open till midnight.
The chief minister’s office said in a press statement, “Restaurants & eateries can now remain open till 12 midnight, while shops and establishments can stay open till 11 pm with immediate effect.”
The state reported the lowest daily count nearly 17 months – 1,485 new covid 19 cases. Maharashtra reported 27 fresh covid-related deaths.
