Bihar doctor visits Singhu border, provides free medical care to protesting farmers

Dr Ghazi is a resident of Katihar, Bihar where he works in a hospital. For past few days, he has been at the Singhu border attending a free medical camp for the farmers protesting against the recently passed farm bills.

Talking to Dainik Samvaad, Dr Ghazi said that he attends to more than 400 patients at the camp in a day. “Most of them complain of the seasonal cough and cold. There are also regular cases of high blood sugar and blood pressure, because if the circumstances under which these people have been for past one month,” he told DS.

He is associated with Bhartiya Kisan Samiti. Satwinder Singh Bhartiya, of the Bhartiya Kisan Samiti told DS that people from all walks of life have been dominating for the cause. “Some of them donate money while others even donate boxes of medicines. Some people walk to our camp and donate Rs 500, seeing the kind of work that is being done here. They just want to help the cause.”
