PM Modi urges people not to fall for rumours around covid 19 vaccine

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation, for the fourth time this year through his flagship progamme, Mann Ki Baat and addressed a few of the compelling issues grappling India.

“I urge people to not fall prey to any rumour about vaccine. You all must be aware that Govt of India has sent free vaccine to all State Govts. All people above 45 years of age can benefit from this. From May 1st, vaccines will be available for every person above 18 years of age. Seek information on Covid-19 only through genuine sources, not to fall pray to misinformation.,” PM Modi said during Mann Ki Baat.

He added, “Country was full of confidence after successfully battling first wave of Covid-19. However, this second wave, which is a storm, has left us devastated.”

However, he claimed in his Mann Ki Baat, “Positive cases rising but the recoveries are also increasing. Our biggest priority is to defeat the pandemic.”

India reported at least 349,691 new coronavirus cases in past 24 hours while 2,627 covid 19 deaths were registered.
