Tokyo Olympics 2021: India bags bronze medal in men’s hockey, defeats Germany

India bagged another bronze medal, after the men’s hockey team won the match against Germany, 5-4, in the ongoing Tokyo Olympics 2021.

On Wednesday, wrestler Ravi Dahiya ensured yet another Olympic medal for India entering the wrestling finals. The Indian women’s hockey team is also set for a play-off match against Britain for the bronze medal.

Earlier in the day, Lovlina Borgohain secured a bronze medal after facing defeat in the women’s welterweight semis. Busenaz Surmeneli of Turkey defeated her.

With the latest win, India now has four medals in Tokyo Olympics 2021. Weightlifter Mirabai Chanu bagged the silver medal in the 48kg category while boxer Lovlina Borgohain won the bronze medal in the women’s welterweight category. A bronze medal was secured when shuttler PV Sindhu won the women’s singles competition. and Ravi Kumar Dahiya will now fight for the gold medal Thursday afternoon.
