The union Public Service Commission has postponed the preliminary examnitaions originally scheduled for June 27. The announcement came in wake of the surge in covid-19 cases amid the brutal second wave of coronavirus pandemic.
UPSC said in a statement, “Due to the prevailing conditions caused by the Novel Corona Virus (COVID-19), the Union Public Service Commission has deferred the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2021, which was scheduled to be held on 27,h June, 2021. Now, this Examination will be held on 10’h October, 2021.”
India reported a total of 3.63 lakh new covid 19 cases over past 24 hours and 4120 deaths were registered.
