As per media reports, the cyclone took two lives as it made landfall in West Bengal on Wednesday.

A 3-month-old boy died in Dakhunapari village, Bhadrak due to collapsing of the wall of his house collapsed during the heavy rains.

The landfall was likely to begin from 4 pm between Digha in West Bengal and Hatia islands in Bangladesh and completely enter land by 7 pm. Flight operations and all flyovers in Kolkata have been closed till 5 AM Thursday.

Rains & high velocity wind induced by the cyclone have played havoc in Ersama area of Jagatsinghpur, Odisha by inundating standing crops, damaging Kucha houses & uprooting electric polls.
