Second wave of Covid 19: States starting unlock from today

As the number of fresh daily cases of coronavirus slide for continuous days, many states have announced the end of preventive lockdown and shall begin the process of “unlock” starting Monday.

A look at states unlocking from Monday:

DELHI
The national capital will allow malls, markets and restaurants to reopen while colleges, schools and educational institutions continue to remain closed.

MAHARASHTRA
Maharashtra has decided to go for phase wise unlock process in various parts. Many cities will noe be allowed to operate with functioning restaurants, shopping malls and cinemas. However, they need to function under 50% capacity.

KARNATAKA

Economic activities will be allowed from Monday, 6am to June 21 (6am). Street vendors, ration shops, standalone liquor shops and optical shops have also been allowed to open between 6am to 2pm.

LOCKDOWN EXTENDED

HARYANA

The state extended its lockdown till June 21 even as all shops are allowed to function from 9 am to 8 pm. Restaurants and bars, including in hotels and malls, are allowed to function from 10 am to 10 pm while gyms may open from 6 am to 8 pm. Gyms are allowed to function with a 50 per cent capacity.

TAMIL NADU

Tamil Nadu extended the lockdown till till 6am on June 21, However, certain relaxations have been announced, with effect from Monday. The TASMAC liquor outlets may function from 10am to 5pm. Industries have also been allowed to operate with a 33% attendance.

Meanwhile, a total of 80,834 fresh covid 19 cases were reported across the country on Sunday. At least 3,303 covid related deaths were registered in the last 24 hours.
