Gurugram residents demand CBI probe in building collapse case, stage march

Residents of Gurugram held a protest march and demanded a CBI probe into the recent accident of building collapse.

After the sixth floor at Gurgaon’s Chintels Paradiso caved in, two women were killed on February 10. Four other towers in the apartment have also been declared unfit for living by the Department of Town and Country Planning. It leaves all the residents without a home.

The protesting residents met Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khatter and said in a joint statement after the meeting, “We requested him (CM) to take quick and strict action against the builder and officials involved. If the building is declared unsafe, the Chief Minister said refund would be provided, for which details would be given by the District Collector.”
